Receptionists work morning and evening shifts. He/she welcomes guests and facilitates their stay until they leave. He/she conveys the hotel's image through his/her exemplary attitude, warm and friendly welcome, professionalism and availability.
Their job :
The receptionist welcomes guests as they arrive at the hotel and ensures that their journey has gone smoothly. He/she presents the various services offered by the hotel and accompanies guests to their rooms. He/she will then be available to help them make the most of their stay. The receptionist is also responsible for checking reservations and invoices. When guests leave, he/she makes sure that their stay has gone smoothly, and proceeds to check-in and check-out.
Under the responsibility of our Head of Reception, his/her activities are :
- Welcoming guests and escorting them to their rooms
- Check reservations, prepare arrivals and departures
- Check invoicing
- Manage the switchboard
- Handle emails
- Carry out a CARDEX follow-up after each departure
Main qualities :
- Good reception and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability and availability (morning or evening shift)
- Fluent in foreign languages (English is a minimum)
Main qualifications and levels of training :
Bac +2: BTS in hotel and catering, option A in marketing and hotel management (the most suitable qualification for rapidly progressing to positions of responsibility)
MC in Hospitality and Reception: 1-year course after A-levels.
Bac: Bac Techno hôtellerie (can be prepared in two years, after a specific seconde)
CAP: CAP in hotel services
Experience required in the luxury hotel sector
