Chambermaids are responsible for maintaining the hotel's bedrooms and public areas. He/she conveys the hotel's image through his/her exemplary attitude, kindness, professionalism and availability.
Their job :
Multi-purpose room staff are responsible for cleaning and tidying hotel rooms after use by guests, as well as cleaning the common areas on the floors. Every morning, room staff receive a schedule indicating the rooms they are to clean and tidy, efficiently and quickly. Room staff clean the room, change the sheets and make up the beds, vacuum, clean the sanitary facilities and the bathroom, restock with clean towels and bathrobes and send the dirty linen to the laundry. Occasionally, he/she may be required to assist the linen room attendants.
Reporting to our General Housekeeper, he/she will :
- Checking his/her work schedule
- Cleaning and tidying rooms
- Cleaning the communal areas (toilets, restaurant, reception, fitness spa, cloakrooms, offices, etc.)
- changing rooms, offices, etc.)
- Reporting to our Housekeeper,
- Respond to customer complaints

Main qualifications and levels of training :
CAP in hotel services, CAP as a technical assistant in family and collective environments,
CAP in maintenance and hygiene of premises, CAP in hotel management.
Apprenticeships: a number of apprenticeship schemes are available to train as a chambermaid/valet.
Other: Certificat de Qualification Professionnelle de l'Industrie Hôtelière
(CQPIH) "Room Attendant".
Career progression: 1st chambermaid/valet.
